  • Microchip Technology Inc.: honorable mention for the 2006 Alfred P. Sloan Awards for Business Excellence in Workplace Flexibility in the greater Chandler, AZ area. This prestigious award recognizes employers that are successfully using workplace flexibility to meet both business and employee goals.
  • In the Design News 2005 Readers’ Choice Awards, Microchip was voted “Best Value, Electronics”.
  • Steve Sanghi was named "2005 Person of the Year" by the Indus Business Journal.
  • Design News named Microchip’s ENC28J60 Ethernet Controller the winner of their "Best Product, 2005 Golden Mousetrap Awards" in the Digital Control/Embedded Computing category.

  • In Power Electronics Technology's November 2005 30th Anniversary issue, Microchip was named one of the "Top 30 Companies in Power Electronics".
  • Electronic Products magazine selected the PIC24 and TI's MSP430 as co-winners of their 2005 Product of the Year Awards.   This marks the second year in a row that we have achieved this honor (we won last year for the PIC10F).   From the thousands of products introduced in 2005, the editors of Electronic Products have chosen what they feel are among the most outstanding--based on significant advances in technology or its application, a decided innovation in design, or a substantial gain in price-performance.
  • bizAZ Magazine selected Microchip President and CEO Steve Sanghi as one of five winners for its 2005 " Arizona's Best Business Leaders" award.  This distinctive honor pays tribute to individuals who have exhibited exemplary leadership in their companies and communities. Judging was based on the following leadership criteria: employee morale, customer satisfaction, growth and profit of the business, and community leadership.  Finalists were verified through follow-up interviews with employees, customers, investors and community affiliations.
  • The PIC24 was named the “Best Microcontroller of 2005” by EEPN magazine in their 2005 Product Review & Outlook supplement.   The semiconductors selected in various categories are considered by the EEPN staff as the best or most technically innovative of the past 12 months, from November 2004 to October 2005.
  • The PIC16F785 was chosen as one of the Q1 2005 top 10 "EE Times Ultimate Products" in the Processors & Memory category.
  • Microchip was named was named the 2005 Winner of the Better Business Bureau (BBB) of Central/Northern Arizona Business Ethics Awards in the over 500 employees category.

  • The MCP6275/85/95 Cascaded Operational Amplifiers were the recipients of a “2004 Product of the Year Award” from analogZONE in the Best Signal Processing Architecture category .   Winners were selected by the editors from among the hundreds of products reviewed annually by analogZONE.
  • EE Times Magazine and its readership selected the PIC18F4680 as one of their Fourth Quarter 2004 “Ultimate Products” in the Processors & Memory category.   Readers ranked the PIC18F4680 fourth in voting on 10 products that were nominated by the EE Times editorial staff in this category.
  • The PIC10F won the Integrated Circuits category of ECN Magazine’s 2004 “First Annual Product Technology Awards”.   The editors of the magazine nominated 10 products in each category, which were then voted on by their 126,000 readers.
  • Electronic Products Magazine selected the PIC10F for one of its “2004 Products of the Year” awards.   A short list of winners was selected by the editorial staff from thousands of submitted nominations.
  • Product Design & Development Magazine selected the MCP1630 as one of 40 finalists in their Annual Engineering Awards for 2004.   Winners will be announced in February 2005.
